How McLean Demolition Started
Marcus T. Webb founded McLean Demolition in 2012 after eight years as a site superintendent for a Northern Virginia general contractor. He managed dozens of teardown-rebuild projects in McLean, Great Falls, and Vienna during that time — and he saw the same friction on every job.
Homeowners planning a teardown, pool removal, or full interior gut-out had no place to turn that could manage the complete scope under one roof. Permits, asbestos coordination, mechanical demolition, and site grading were being parceled out to three or four different vendors, with no one accountable for the whole timeline. Delays stacked, builders waited, and homeowners were left managing contractors who weren't talking to each other.
McLean Demolition was built to close that gap. One company, one crew, one point of contact from first call through permit closeout. That model has completed more than 600 projects across Fairfax County and Northern Virginia in the 14 years since.
The company holds a Class A DPOR contractor's license — the highest classification issued by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, required for projects over $120,000 and for any work involving hazardous material coordination. That credential is not incidental; it reflects the scope of work McLean Demolition is built to handle.
