Fairfax County's residential-first demolition and excavation contractor since 2012.
Marcus T. Webb founded McLean Demolition in 2012 after eight years as a site superintendent for a Northern Virginia general contractor. He managed dozens of teardown-rebuild projects in McLean, Great Falls, and Vienna during that time — and he saw the same friction on every job.
Homeowners planning a teardown, pool removal, or full interior gut-out had no place to turn that could manage the complete scope under one roof. Permits, asbestos coordination, mechanical demolition, and site grading were being parceled out to three or four different vendors, with no one accountable for the whole timeline. Delays stacked, builders waited, and homeowners were left managing contractors who weren't talking to each other.
McLean Demolition was built to close that gap. One company, one crew, one point of contact from first call through permit closeout. That model has completed more than 600 projects across Fairfax County and Northern Virginia in the 14 years since.
The company holds a Class A DPOR contractor's license — the highest classification issued by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, required for projects over $120,000 and for any work involving hazardous material coordination. That credential is not incidental; it reflects the scope of work McLean Demolition is built to handle.
The office is at 6720 Old McLean Village Dr, Unit L, McLean, VA 22101. The crew is the same one that's been showing up in McLean and Great Falls neighborhoods since 2012.
Every credential and process below exists because a homeowner or builder once needed it and we built it in.
Three principles shape every project from first call to permit closeout.
You get a written scope before anything is committed. Every permit, utility coordination step, and site prep milestone is documented and communicated. There are no surprises after you sign.
We provide specific dollar ranges during the estimate — not vague quotes. For Fairfax County residential teardowns, that typically means $9,400–$19,800 depending on size, construction type, and whether asbestos abatement is needed. You know the range before we show up.
McLean Demolition coordinates every permit and every utility disconnection. If Fairfax County's PLUS system requires a revision or a utility delays confirmation, we handle the follow-up. The permit is our responsibility, not yours.
McLean Demolition holds a Class A contractor's license issued by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Class A is the highest contractor classification in Virginia. It is required for any project over $120,000 in contract value and for projects that involve hazardous material abatement coordination.
All excavation work is performed with prior Virginia 811 utility marking per Code §56-265.17. Asbestos coordination is performed through licensed, DPOR-registered abatement contractors. Demolition permits are filed through the Fairfax County Land Development Services PLUS system, with utility disconnection confirmations obtained from Dominion Energy, Washington Gas, and Fairfax Water before permit issuance.
McLean Demolition is fully insured with general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Certificate of insurance available on request before any project begins.
